Rob Flowers – DivideBuy

Robert Flowers DivideBy

Robert Flowers is CEO and founder of DivideBuy, an interest-free LendTech platform created in 2014.

Flowers founded DivideBuy with little knowledge of the financial industry but this allowed him to have a customer-centric view on his approach to interest-free credit payment options, creating something simple and easy to understand.

Flowers is known for his tenacity and relentless pursuit towards his goal. Despite leaving school at 16 he convinced Stafford University to accept him onto a three year aeronautical technology degree, and once he graduated he quickly founded his own company. Originally focused on supplying equipment for Cricket, Flowers decided to change his company and focus on a more lucrative market in the FinTech space. After receiving an initial £130,000 investment to build a prototype, the company continued to grow with Robert at the helm.

Founded in 2014, DivideBuy aims to make life more affordable by transforming the point-of-sale (POS) finance industry through innovation and technology. Its eCommerce credit plugin integrates with shopping cart functionalities such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce and Craft Commerce to offer interest free credit through retail partners.

Currently in partnership with over 500 retailers, DivideBuy offers a fast 60-second application process and an immediate decision which means that customers can spread the cost of their purchases with no hidden charges. By offering an alternative payment method to customers, retailers can benefit with increased average basket values and reduced basket abandonment.
