About The Vurger Co.

Founded in 2016, The Vurger Co. is a vegan, fast food brand with sustainability in mind. Everything on the menu is 100% vegan, produced and sourced ethically, with packaging made from plants and fully compostable.

Inspiration for The Vurger Co. came when co-founders Rachel and Neil took a trip to California, experiencing the rich range of plant-based food on offer and noticing how limited London’s vegan scene was in comparison. Spotting this exciting gap in the market, the two then set to work creating a brand, as they claim, “that made vegetables the main event, in fun, interesting and fresh new ways.”

The Vurger Co. started off as a market stall, where the co-founders could test their ideas out and gain feedback from. After realising just how popular their products were with customers, the two then grew their offering from a market stall to pop ups, festivals and other events. In 2018, The Vurger Co. then went to crowdfund their first restaurant in Shoreditch, London.

Since their humble beginnings, The Vurger Co. have reached exciting heights, collaborating with Chloe Coscarelli at Eat Drink Vegan Festival Los Angeles and working with Tabasco Sauce. The company now have three restaurants, located in Shoreditch, Brighton and Canary Wharf, and are continuing on their mission to revolutionise fast food with the awesome force of plant power.

So far, the startup have raised a total funding amount of $1.2 million over the course of 3 funding rounds.
