About Kosta Du
Kosta is a lifetime entrepreneur, having founded his first business at 16. In 2018 he launched Dapio (then Paymob), a Tap to Pay solution for Android, where any sole trader or business owner can download the app and use their smartphone as a card terminal.
He started the business in Ghana, developing markets in Africa and acquiring a financial licence before moving to the UK. As an immigrant from Russia, Kosta’s goal is to drive financial inclusion in technology innovation, having faced barriers himself when setting up his own financial portfolio in a foreign country.
Kosta also has a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management, two MBAs and holds a Tier 1 Exceptional Talent visa. In his spare time, he pilots a small plane and loves to travel, once undertaking a road trip from Dublin to the Sahara.
