About Roi Amir
Born in Tel Aviv, Roi started his software engineering education during his service in the Israeli military, where he also began training software engineers himself. After almost seven years in the army, Roi left to join the private sector – a medical imaging startup called Algotec that was later acquired by Kodak.
After Algotec, Roi gained experience across a mixture of technical and business-oriented roles. Roi’s latest role before joining Sprout was Vice President of Engineering at insurtech unicorn Tractable, where he managed a team of around 75 people. As a CEO he is quite unique: as he has both the strategic broad vision as well as detailed technical knowledge of how the AI works exactly and how it could evolve in the insurance industry.
