How did you come up with the idea for the company?
What makes Desygner unique is the fact that it was not created from the perspective of a professional designer, but from a non-designer´s point of view.
Funny enough, the idea came because we, the founders, were really bad at designing. At that point, we were working on various businesses at a co-working space and shared the common pain of not being able to get past the design bottleneck and depending on the graphic designer every time.
On the other hand, we also understood that a professional designer’s time is being wasted at the expense of small changes or corrections on branding assets going back and forth for approvals.
We knew the problem way too well and decided to solve it. The goal was to create an easy-to-use designing solution that can be used by non-designers.
Since we were never good at designing, we always thought of ways to make it easy to use for non-designer. And at the same time, from a corporate´s POV, we understand the significance of brand management – so we wanted to give people who are brand managers, professional designers the power to control the look and feel of brand assets.

Desygner started in 2016 with the goal of removing design bottlenecks for businesses of all sizes. Today we serve 27+ million users and over 200,000 businesses worldwide who use Desygner to create their own marketing materials. We also work with thousands of international companies such as BBC, Keller Williams, Techstars to name a few who use Desygner as their marketing hub. We help them distribute customizable materials to everyone involved with their brand, whilst keeping the brand consistently adhering to corporate brand guidelines.
We are a bootstrap tech company which grew organically without any VC investment and that actually became our strength as we could lazer focus on creating a solution that addresses the challenges that we set out to solve. As leaders, we have re-invented ourselves through Desygner´s journey from a team of 10 people to now close to 100 employees strength across the world. This meant that we had to focus on putting more processes in place and introduce more leaders in our organization. We hire people who are highly flexible with the evolving nature of their roles in the organisation.
Today, Desygner is a well established tech company which helps organisations to achieve customisation, updation, dissemination & compliance across all branded files with global governance and auditability. Among enterprises, Desygner is recognised for Brand Portal, Partner Portal, Digital Asset Management Tool, Employee engagement and Customer engagement solutions.
What can we hope to see from Desygner in the future?
Desygner has come a long way in identifying and solving some of the most fundamental challenges in design automation which is bringing designing tools to non-designers. We are growing at a fast rate and we want to capture the enterprise brand management market worldwide.
We have invested a lot in automation and that continues to be our core focus currently. In the near future we will be adding more automation features to our product so that non-designers continue to find it easier to create content at speed.
With London as our enterprise HQ, we will be focusing on enterprise brand management, content governance, security and corporate brand governance as we are poised to grow stronger in the UK, EU and US markets and bring the right tools into the hands of organisations and customers who need them.
