About Surveil
Surveil officially launched in 2020, a time when cloud strategies were suddenly shifting due to the pandemic. Our journey began as an IT service provider, deeply embedded in the complexities of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. We identified a significant market gap: the need for a solution that not only simplified cloud asset management but also provided business relevance to cloud expenditures. This realisation led to the creation of Surveil, our SaaS platform designed to transform cloud cost management, convert waste into value, and enhance operational efficiency. Our mission was clear—to empower organisations to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The development of Surveil was fraught with challenges, particularly the intricate licensing and pricing structures of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. Our goal was to demystify these complexities without sacrificing accuracy or speed. We succeeded by creating a platform that delivers deep insights and actionable recommendations at unparalleled speed, enabling clients to maximise their cloud investments.
A unique challenge we faced was building a robust SaaS solution that operates as a read-only platform, contrary to the typical read-write models. This approach ensures our clients’ data remains secure and unaltered, setting us apart in the industry. Achieving ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certification underscored our commitment to data protection and compliance, providing our clients with the assurance they need in a market where security is paramount.
With 92% of organisations implementing or actively working on a multi-cloud strategy, the demand for cross-cloud insights has surged. As Microsoft specialists, we had to evolve our SaaS capabilities to service a multi-cloud strategy. Utilising the FinOps Open Cost Usage Specification (FOCUS) 1.0, Surveil Multi-Cloud Cost Visualisation and Chargeback provides clear and actionable insights into spending across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
Surveil has significantly impacted the SaaS industry by addressing two critical areas: cloud efficiency and revenue growth for service providers. Our SaaS platform serves as a Microsoft 365 and Azure revenue operations engine, revolutionising how channel partners streamline all their Microsoft customers into one truly unified platform to superpower their sales teams. By surfacing actionable sales opportunities and attaching sales values to targeted campaigns, partners can now pursue the highest-value prospects, enhancing forecasting accuracy and strategic planning.
Additionally, Surveil accelerates customer onboarding by swiftly surfacing tenant data, significantly enhancing operational efficiency. The unified Microsoft Partner Center consolidates customer tenant data into a single view, providing panoramic visibility that helps identify patterns and trends. This holistic approach not only streamlines operations but also maximises Microsoft Azure rebates by effortlessly identifying where partners are earning or missing credits, ensuring they capture 100% of their potential earnings.
In just three years, our platform has grown to manage over 16 million identities and $1.5 billion in Microsoft 365 and Azure costs annually, serving 118,000 companies worldwide. With an average cost optimisation of 31%, we have helped organisations realise substantial ROI.
