About Oxla

Data production has grown exponentially in the last decade. However, leading data warehouses are prohibitively expensive for processing terabytes of data due to performance inefficiencies. Oxla, founded in 2020, is a high-performance analytical database designed for large-scale workloads.

The company has clients on four continents. It secured an $11M seed round in Q4 2024, backed by the US-based TQ Ventures, and European: Lead Ventures, Warsaw Equity Group, and 4growth. Oxla expert team of database scientists has secured three patents related to an innovative system for controlling data flow in query engines and the dynamic processing of those queries, with three more patents pending. These achievements underscore our team and its dedication to advancing the field of data processing.

Oxla technology is purpose-built to maximise data processing efficiency with modern hardware capabilities, it reduces compute costs by up to 90% compared to data warehouses from Snowflake, Databricks, or ClickHouse. Oxla is ideally suited for data-intensive workloads across IoT, industrial applications, e-commerce, retail and cybersecurity.

The founder, three-time CTO Adam Szymański, has been programming professionally for over 20 years. In his early career, he worked in game development (including renowned CD Projekt Red and the Witcher 3 game), where he learned essential code optimisation skills – skills that were vital in building Oxla.

Another foundational experience was his time at Google in Switzerland, where he became deeply involved with Big Data and machine learning. He joined forces with the current CEO and founder, Kacper Szcześniak, who was among the 1st investors and now takes care of business development.

Oxla boasts a team of 50, 80% of them are engineers and developers, showing the significance of R&D of a company of this kind.

“I believe breakthrough innovations require significant R&D efforts, and I hope our example will prove that deep tech infrastructure companies are an excellent investment”, says CTO Adam Szymański.
