Wash@Home aims to provide Washers with as much work as they can handle. How much work Washers can realistically take on depends on a variety of factors, including washing machine and drier capacity, as well as their own day-to-day routines. The service provides complete flexibility for Washers, placing the power in their hands to choose exactly how many orders they wish to accept, within reason.
To become a Wash@Home Washer, candidates must:
- Provide proof of US employment authorization
- Own a smartphone (iPhone iOS 11 and above or Android 5 and above)
- Have access to the necessary laundry equipment, i.e. a washing machine and drier
- Be 18 years old or over
- Not have any criminal convictions
- To signup to the app, Washers provide key information including the laundry services they wish to offer and their email address. Once their profile is approved, Washers will start receiving orders. Since all orders are processed via the app, all Washers must sign up.
Wash@Home provides a wealth of information on its website guiding prospective Washers through the sign-up process, including step-by-step guidance. Washer rates of remuneration are generous, with the Washer keeping 75% of Washee payments. Different laundry items attract different laundry service prices which are set by Wash@Home.
To get paid, the Washer simply enters their card information within the ‘Card Payment’ section in ‘Settings’. Earnings accumulate for a minimum of one week before being paid out, at which point Washers can redeem money direct from their in-app wallet to their bank account.
