To achieve an equal world we need to celebrate women’s achievement, raise awareness against bias and take action for equality!
International Women’s Day (IWD), March 8th, is a global day to celebrate the cultural, economic, social, and political achievements of women. As well as this, the day encourages people to start and continue to take action for equality. With the first IWD in 1911, today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere, meaning it is not country, group or organization specific.
Being a woman is incredible, with women empowering each other every day! Today, and this year more than ever, it is extremely important to celebrate the efforts of women and girls all around the world, shaping a more equal future whilst recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
