About Aikido Security

Aikido Security launched in 2022 in Ghent, Belgium, with a clear mission: give developers security products that are powerful, fast, and easy to adopt. Instead of forcing teams to deal with scattered tools that slow development, Aikido builds focused, high quality products that each stand on their own while also working smoothly together when combined.

Aikido now offers leading products across code security, cloud security, runtime protection, and modern penetration testing. Each product is strong enough to compete with specialist vendors in its category, and together they give teams a unified way to reduce risk without complexity. Powered by advanced AI, Aikido cuts noise by up to 95 percent and provides one click fixes that save developers significant time every week. More than fifty thousand organizations worldwide rely on Aikido, including Niantic, Visma, Montblanc, and GoCardless. The company ranked first in the TechRound Cybersecurity 40 and second on Sifted list of fastest growing European start ups.

Aikido has seen exceptional growth. In 2025, it became one of the fastest growing B2B SaaS companies in Europe, reaching twenty percent month over month growth and achieving double digit millions in annual recurring revenue in just two years. During Vivatech in June 2025, President Macron selected Aikido as one of only six start ups to meet among fourteen thousand attendees, marking its rise as a key European technology company.

Strategic acquisitions expanded its product strength even further. In August 2025, Aikido acquired Trag, a code quality company with an AI native engine built for the new era of AI generated code. This positioned Aikido as the first platform able to identify AI driven vulnerabilities at machine speed, a challenge that will define the next decade of software development.

In September 2025, Aikido added Haicker, led by the top ranked competitive hacker of 2024, and Allseek, the same team that had independently tested Aikido years earlier. Their combined technology and expertise are reshaping the six billion dollar penetration testing market, shifting from slow, weeks long assessments to testing completed in under an hour. This enables continuous security validation rather than periodic reviews.

Aikido has also become a trusted early detection partner for the global open source ecosystem. In September 2025, the team uncovered what may have been the largest NPM supply chain attack to date after a trusted maintainer account was compromised, affecting billions of weekly downloads. Aikido Intel has repeatedly identified major NPM threats before public disclosure, protecting developers at scale.

Earlier discoveries included the compromise of the XRP Ledger package manager, which could have led to theft from applications holding tens of millions in deposits, as well as catching activity linked to the Lazarus Group as they attempted to repair broken exploits targeting crypto wallets.

These findings show how modern threat research and AI driven analysis can outperform traditional vulnerability databases. Most importantly, they demonstrate that European security companies can compete globally with focused, high trust products that help developers move faster while keeping software safe.
