Companies waste millions on their physical assets. At the buying stage, there is no way to confidently compare the sustainability and efficiency credentials of products. During use, the practical actions to slash cost and carbon are unclear. At end of life, they struggle to decide whether to extend use, repurpose or replace with newer technology. The cost impact is massive, the knock-on effect on carbon is staggering, and it all comes down to blind decision-making.

Why? Because companies lack the reliable, actionable product-level data they need for smarter decisions. Equipment leaves the factory with detailed specs, then that information disappears into email chains and PDFs as it moves through distributors and operators. Traditional approaches to accessing product-level carbon data rely on expensive consulting exercises that take months, by which time the data is outdated and the opportunity for efficiency is lost.

ImpactLoop’s vision is to provide the AI infrastructure that collapses that timeline and cost. Every asset gets a digital identifier that carries live data throughout its lifecycle: materials, performance specs, operating costs, environmental impact. Manufacturers submit data through an intuitive interface. Buyers can request information from their entire supply network with a single click. Users run scenarios – testing component swaps, lifecycle extensions, portfolio adjustments – so teams can understand and model decisions before committing capital. We work with existing systems so data can output to any required format. When standards change, everything updates automatically. Companies can finally make informed decisions based on real data instead of guesswork.

After launching in late 2024, our first use case focuses on procurement optimisation. Buyers can compare performance across the complete lifecycle – not just manufacturing carbon footprint, but operating costs, efficiency, durability. This means choosing the right equipment, not just the cheapest upfront option. We started with asset-heavy commercial foodservice as our proof point and we’re now the infrastructure for product data across the UK foodservice equipment with over 25 major clients from 5 countries. We are currently closing an angel funding round and building out senior leadership with key hires including CFO and Head of Product as we scale rapidly. In 2026, we are expanding to additional industries that face the same asset optimisation challenges.

Our AI infrastructure enables smarter operational decisions, better end-of-life choices, and future capabilities like predictive maintenance signalling, materials tracking and digital product passports. Companies are starting to realise they need infrastructure for asset intelligence the same way they need it for cloud computing or data management. We are building that layer for the physical economy. The shift from blind decision-making to full performance visibility across the asset lifecycle is what delivers real cost savings and carbon reduction. That is what we do.
