ZenRows was created in 2021 in Bilbao, Spain, by software engineer and company builder Aurken Bilbao and web developer Ander Rodriguez and the company was born out of the growing need for data in an increasingly digital world. As more people wanted access to valuable online information, gaining access to it started to be more restricted and the ability to benefit from it was the province only of large organisations with similarly sized budgets.
Industry perception
Our shared goal was to help people understand that rather than something intrusive, data extraction is integral to daily online life in the 21st century. From searching the web to finding the best deal for a hotel room and asking AI to help us with tasks, data extraction is fundamental to that process we all now view as an essential part of life.
Challenge
Meeting this challenge inspired the creation of ZenRows, a tool designed to democratise access to data by making its extraction seamless and efficient, whatever the size of the company.

ZenRows boasts over 2K customers across 90+ countries and rapidly doubled the number of its employees, expanding across nine countries on four continents. It quickly became profitable and remains so, and has seen consistent MoM growth. An investment round saw ZenRows raise $1.15 million from 4Founders Capital, Bynd Venture Capital and Athos Capital.
