DRAGON is building the first true augmented reality heads up display designed for motion, focused on high performance sport and real world environments.
Current wearables and AR systems break down in movement. DRAGON is designed from the ground up to deliver real time visual information directly in the athlete line of sight without disrupting form, focus, or awareness. This enables access to pacing, positioning, biometrics, and contextual cues that are typically unavailable during training and competition.
The company was founded by Annika La Vina and Jake Sweed, combining backgrounds across Harvard, special operations, and Qualcomm. This brings together experience in human performance, hardware systems, and operating in high stress, real world environments.
DRAGON is currently being tested with elite athletes and performance focused teams across endurance and professional sport, with over 40 teams requesting early access to units. Early product demonstrations and content have generated over 110K organic views, reflecting strong demand from athletes and broader performance communities.
In parallel, the system is being evaluated in defence environments, including early engagement with SOCOM and Naval Special Warfare. These use cases reinforce requirements around reliability, clarity, and performance under pressure, which directly inform the product design for sport.
A core challenge has been building hardware that performs seamlessly in motion while remaining lightweight, stable, and unobtrusive. This has required rapid iteration across optics, industrial design, and software, as well as continuous feedback from both athletes and special operations users.
DRAGON introduces a new interface for performance, enabling real time information delivery without distraction. By bridging sport and real world deployment, the company is redefining how athletes train, compete, and operate in motion.
