Türkiye’s Tech Sector Surges Past $5 Billion In Exports As Country Unveils Largest-Ever London Tech Week Presence

Türkiye has showcased the strength of its rapidly growing technology ecosystem at London Tech Week 2026, leading its largest-ever national delegation (and the largest in the festival’s history) to the event as technology exports, venture capital investment and startup growth continue to accelerate.

Information and communications technology exports reached approximately $5.3 billion, up 37.8% year-on-year, while venture capital activity accelerated sharply in 2024, with startup investment deal volume rising by approximately 423% to around US$2.6 billion.

Istanbul’s international profile continues to strengthen, with Startup Genome ranking the city as the world’s third-largest Emerging Startup Ecosystem in 2025, up ten places year-on-year, with an ecosystem value of approximately US$12.9 billion*.

Inside The Delegation

It’s also announced at the London Tech Show that Istanbul has secured hosting rights for the Global Tech Advocates Summit 2026 – a first for Europe.

Organised by HİB (Service Exporters’ Association), and supported by Invest in Türkiye, and the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade – Türkiye is making its largest-ever appearance at London Tech Week – bringing together around 60 technology companies (including Central Asia), more than 250 delegates and seven leading science parks.

The delegation showcases Turkish expertise across artificial intelligence, fintech, gaming, cybersecurity, enterprise software and digital infrastructure. Türkiye has also produced approximately eight unicorn companies, including Trendyol, Dream Games, Insider, Hepsiburada, Peak Games and Getir, underscoring its growing influence in the global digital economy.

Invest in Türkiye will be holding one-to-one meetings at the Presidency’s Investment Office Stand, and there will be presentations on the Türkiye Stage from both the Presidency’s Investment Office and participating technoparks.

Speaking at London Tech Week, İlhan Bağören, Board Member of the Service Exporters’ Association (HİB), said: “Türkiye’s technology sector is increasingly competing on a global stage. Our companies are expanding internationally, attracting investment and building partnerships across key markets.

Having the biggest presence at London Tech Week reflects a deliberate investment in one of Europe’s most important technology markets, where global ecosystems connect and partnerships are formed. As our ecosystem continues to mature, we are creating new opportunities for collaboration, investment and innovation across international technology communities.”

Türkiye Leads Expanding Turkic Technology Corridor

This year’s delegation also highlights growing technology cooperation across the Turkic region, bringing together ecosystems from Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and, for the first time, the Kyrgyz Republic under a shared innovation platform.

Together, the four countries represent a digitally connected market of approximately 150 million people and have assembled one of the largest international delegations at London Tech Week.

Participating science parks include Bilkent Cyberpark, İTÜ ARI Teknokent, ODTÜ Teknokent and YTU Yıldız Technopark (Türkiye); IT Park Uzbekistan; Astana Hub (Kazakhstan); and the High Technology Park (Kyrgyz Republic).

The initiative highlights the growing importance of the Middle Corridor connecting Europe and Asia through Türkiye and Central Asia, positioning Istanbul as a gateway for technology investment, innovation and entrepreneurship across the wider region.

Global Tech Advocates Summit 2026 to Take Place in Istanbul

Building on this momentum, Istanbul has been selected to host the Global Tech Advocates Summit 2026 in October, marking it the first time the event will be held in Europe.

The summit will bring together founders, investors, policymakers and ecosystem leaders from across Europe, Central Asia and beyond, providing a platform for international collaboration, knowledge exchange and partnership-building across the global technology community. More than 40,000 business leaders, experts and investors volunteer their time to campaign for the betterment of the global tech industry as part of the community.

Among the companies presenting on Türkiye’s Stage at London Tech Week are AloTech, Türkiye’s largest cloud contact-centre platform, trusted by more than 700 brands and now expanding its AI capabilities from chatbots to conversation analytics; Privia Security, a cybersecurity specialist serving over 300 clients across 25 countries and recently opening a London office; broadAngle, a software development agency with offices in the UK, the USA, and Turkiye, and MDP Group, an SAP consultancy with more than 1,100 projects delivered across five continents with offices in Istanbul and Zürich.
