About Think AI
AI adoption is accelerating globally, but growth is constrained by two bottlenecks: the dominance of cloud-based AI models and the high cost of building AI infrastructure. Think’s mission is to bring innovative approaches to these challenges, enabling organisations, enterprises and governments to use AI without dependencies.
What sets Think’s approach apart is its foundation in the games industry, which has a long history of overcoming hardware and software limitations. For over forty years, this sector has optimised GPU performance on constrained hardware and complex architectures. By applying these engineering principles to AI infrastructure, Think is developing pioneering products.
Think began as a software-only venture. Founder Ahmed AlSharif recognised the potential to use software to maximise hardware performance. However, he faced a challenge: companies were unwilling to allow deployment of his orchestration software on their infrastructure, even at no cost.
He faced two options: abandon the effort or find a way to demonstrate his software’s efficiency on hardware with its own merits. Ahmed chose to build hardware to showcase the software’s value directly. This approach provided a credible entry point for trials, proofs of concept, and ultimately, combined sales.
Think then focused on its core differentiator: the software. On its own, it delivered significant efficiency gains, and when paired with Think’s hardware, performance improved further. In infrastructure, reliability is essential. By starting with smaller deployments, Think is building trust with customers running real workloads.
Think is the solution for companies that want to leverage AI in some way. Perhaps they have a large data set or infrastructure they want to incorporate AI into. Think provides a solution for companies seeking to leverage AI, whether they have large data sets or existing infrastructure. Traditionally, organisations must either build their own costly infrastructure or rely on cloud vendors, which raises concerns about data sovereignty and expenses. Think offers a third option: an approach inspired by gaming, proven through hardware, and now focused on software to democratise AI infrastructure.
