About Datarails

Corporate finance was supposed to be among the first functions AI transformed. In fact, challenges abound. Gartner found AI adoption in corporate finance rose slightly from 58% to 59% between 2024 and 2025, however 91% of finance teams report low impact from AI. The most cited barrier was not model capability but data quality and availability. Financial data sits scattered across ERP, CRM, HRIS and thousands of spreadsheets, ungoverned and untraceable with no audit control.

Datarails concluded the constraint was infrastructure. On March 10, 2026 Datarails declared “FP&A software dead” (a software Datarails itself pioneered) and released FinanceOS (finance operating system), a governed 3x3cution layer connecting live consolidated financial data straight to AI, letting Finance teams point Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot at their own data and build models, deploy agents and automate workflows on it. Uniting financial and operational data, FinanceOS is the trusted data layer for finance teams ensuring every AI output is accurate, governed, repeatable and auditable. It lets users stay within Excel, enhancing processes including FP&A, month end close and cash management. FinanceOS connects over 600 data sources and carries SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and ISO 27001 compliance, “audit-ready” for any board report or analysis.

Fortune covered the launch of FinanceOS as a company “trying to disrupt itself before someone else did”. Leading finance industry figure, Secret CFO, describes the revolution as “an AI-powered data warehouse for finance teams that handles any data (however clean or messy) and serves it straight into a controlled Excel environment, where you do whatever the hell you want with it via Claude (or any other AI).”

Founded in 2015 in New York,Datarails serves thousands of finance teams. Revenue grew 70% year over year in 2025. In January 2026 the company raised a $70M Series C led by One Peak at a $550M valuation, taking total funding to $175M.
