About Incode Technologies

Founded in 2015 in San Francisco, Incode set out to transform how people establish and prove their identities in a digital world. Founded by Ricardo Amper, the company was built around a fundamental challenge in cybersecurity: making digital interactions more secure without compromising privacy or creating unnecessary friction for legitimate users.

Over the past decade, that challenge has become increasingly complex. As banking, commerce and public services have moved online, identity fraud has evolved from individual attacks into coordinated operations that exploit weaknesses across multiple organisations. The emergence of generative AI and autonomous agents is accelerating this shift, enabling fraudsters to create synthetic identities, manipulate documents and launch attacks at a scale that traditional, siloed security systems struggle to detect.

Incode has grown by addressing the intersection of identity, fraud prevention and digital trust. Its AI-powered technology combines biometric verification, proprietary machine learning and privacy-centric architecture to help organisations distinguish legitimate customers from bad actors while protecting sensitive personal information. The company has completed more than 7.1 billion identity checks, providing a substantial foundation of real-world experience in securing digital interactions at scale.

Building trust across highly regulated industries has required more than accurate identity verification. Organisations need security that can adapt to evolving threats while maintaining accessible customer experiences and respecting privacy obligations. Incode works with eight of the top 10 US banks, four of the top five marketplaces globally and all of the top three global neobanks. Its recognition as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Identity Verification for three consecutive years further reflects its position in a market where identity assurance has become a critical component of cybersecurity.

As the threat landscape evolves, Incode is also helping address a longstanding weakness in fraud prevention: the inability of individual organisations to recognise attacks that span multiple institutions. In October 2026, the company introduced TrustGraph, a privacy-preserving trust network designed to help participating organisations identify repeat and AI-driven fraud without pooling or exposing customer records. In its early access programme, TrustGraph surfaced up to 53 percent more fraud than existing models alone, demonstrating the potential of collaborative intelligence to strengthen security beyond the boundaries of individual organisations.

This work reflects a broader shift in how digital trust must be established. When fraud can be automated and distributed across networks, effective defence increasingly depends on connecting intelligence, verifying identity and identifying patterns in real time, while preserving the privacy of legitimate users. Incode is helping move the industry towards this more collaborative, identity-anchored approach to cybersecurity.

With more than a decade of experience, billions of identity checks and relationships spanning some of the worlds largest financial and digital businesses, Incode is helping build the foundations for a more trusted digital economy. Its mission is to make secure access easier for legitimate users while making digital fraud harder to carry out, even as AI fundamentally changes the nature of the threat.”
