About YEO

Founded in 2017, UK cybersecurity company YEO takes issue with an assumption most of the industry still makes: that verifying someone at login tells you the same person stays in control for the rest of the digital session.

Tech has spent heavily on stronger passwords, multi-factor authentication and biometric login. Yet once a user is authenticated, they are typically trusted until the session ends. That gap is where account takeover, impersonation, social engineering and fraudulent transactions find their opening.

YEO’s answer is its patented Continuous Facial Recognition (CFR) technology, which checks identity throughout a session rather than at a single moment.

The company began by securing sensitive communications, combining end-to-end encryption with identity verification so that confidential information reaches only its intended, authenticated recipients.

YEO has since taken the technology beyond messaging. Its CFR Software Development Kit lets organisations build ongoing biometric identity assurance into their existing apps.

YEO CFR works in three layers: facial mapping, anti-spoofing with liveness detection, and depth verification where the device supports it.

All biometric processing happens on the device. Facial images and biometric templates are never sent to external servers, so stronger identity assurance does not cost users their privacy.

CFR is designed to sit alongside behavioural biometrics, device intelligence and fraud detection systems. It adds something those controls cannot establish on their own: whether the person carrying out a transaction is still the person who originally authenticated.

YEO holds patents in the UK, US, Europe and China, and is bringing the capability to regulated sectors including financial services, digital payments, healthcare, defence and digital assets. Its 2026 integration with Haven Wallet helps protect high-value digital transactions.

Usability was the other problem to solve. Because verification is passive and continuous, users are spared the repeated prompts that usually come with tighter security.

As AI-enabled impersonation grows more sophisticated, YEO’s position is that authentication should be an ongoing assurance of identity, not a one-time event.
