Recent figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) found that as many as 48% of the UK workforce has worked from home since the 23rd March, when government lockdown rules came into force. Therefore, businesses are seeking ways to support staff at a critical time for employees, who are likely to experience mental and physical impacts on their overall health during this time.
Commenting on the growing importance of employee health and wellbeing, Nathan Berkley, CEO of Muhdo said:
“Recent research we conducted found that 37% of companies plan to invest further in digital health over the next five years. Evidently, businesses are increasingly aware of their responsibility to ensure that employees are happy, healthy and feel supported whilst working from home. As a result, we are seeing a surge in the number of companies investing in corporate wellbeing packages to boost employee wellbeing and ensure that company benefits remain attractive and competitive.”
