During the first three months of Mirai Flights’ operations (April 2021 – June 2021), the transaction volumes amounted to ~€3 mln. Founded in 2021, Mirai Flights aims to change the flyers’ purchasing habits and save them time. The founders’ expertise is manifested by successful businesses in private aviation.

How did you come up with the idea for the company?
My partner and Mirai Flights CEO & Founder Irakli Litanishvili had the idea of building an air taxi in partnership with his personal fleet of Honda Jets, while I already had experience of building and managing an IT project in the business aviation sector called Aviapages.
We met in Geneva back in 2019 and started discussing the idea, but it wasn’t until August 2020, when we met again by chance and returned to the discussion, that we decided that our combined experience could help us create a completely unique service in the business aviation market.
During this time, the service concept has undergone some changes, but the idea of offering instant booking of private jets with transparent and final pricing for the customer was reinforced, underpinning our product and becoming our unique value proposition.

How has the company evolved during the pandemic?
We believe the pandemic has accelerated our development. Objectively speaking, private aviation became more popular during the pandemic; and demand for the service had grown for the reasons of privacy and passenger safety. In some cases, it became the only way to travel between certain countries and regions. We used this time to actively develop our ideas and build up our team. I believe we had a very productive time. The pandemic has also accelerated the trends towards automation and offering digital services to the passengers that are a key growth driver for us.
What can we hope to see from Mirai Flights in the future?
We will focus our efforts on building a strong brand around the service, as well as developing the team’s expertise to offer customers the most convenient payment system possible. We see that our customers are interested in both the classic flight payment options and more innovative ones, such as using digital assets.
As a service, it’s crucial for us to develop targeted empty-legs offers for the customers, expand our fleet of aircraft and integrate more deeply with our airline partners.
