We launched London Nootropics in March 2020 after developing our adaptogenic coffee blends for over two years. Our vision is to make the highest-quality adaptogens easily accessible, convenient & delicious, helping more people benefit from their balancing properties and find their flow.
Our adaptogenic coffee blends are designed to help you flow through your day, they give you all the benefits of regular coffee whilst minimising side effects such as jitters, anxiety and a crash.

How did you come up with the idea for the company?
Shez & I were having coffee with added natural ingredients for a natural energy boost before the gym, as an alternative to chemical-laced pre-workout drinks. A few friends who tried our blends loved them and suggested we should make our pre-workout coffee blend commercially.
We were experimenting with herbal extracts and seeing which help give us sustained energy and focus and came across medicinal mushrooms and other adaptogens. We found it incredible how adaptogens work on different systems in our body to help balance stressors, increase mental clarity and cognitive performance and improve physical endurance. Whilst developing our pre-workout coffee we were having different adaptogens depending on what we needed each day. We found the effects of adaptogens profound and realized this could be much more than just a pre-workout, and decided to launch 3 different lifestyle blends to help people flow through their day.

How has the company evolved during the pandemic?
We launched during the start of the first lockdown and focused on online D2C sales via our website, with physical retail stores closed. We launched subscriptions to reward our loyal customers with better pricing and make it seamless to have our adaptogenic coffee delivered through your letterbox every month.
After growing an engaging health-conscious community online, we sponsored a few yoga retreats when restrictions were lifted and visited our first shows. It was the most amazing feeling to have people try our adaptogenic coffee in real life and we met some of our customers face to face for the first time!
What can we hope to see from London Nootropic in the future?
We’re continuing to develop relationships with retailers, hospitality and workplaces to make our adaptogenic coffee blends widely available, whilst also exploring new markets in Europe and the Middle East.
At the moment we’re excited to be developing some new adaptogenic blends, and hopefully later this year we’ll have some blends that can be enjoyed in the evening to help people wind-down before sleep.
