DevRev was founded in 2020 by Dheeraj Pandey and Manoj Agarwal. Dheeraj previously founded and led Nutanix, the company behind the largest tech IPO of 2016, where Manoj served as Senior Vice President of Engineering. Drawing on their experience building category-defining enterprise software, they set out to reimagine how teams work together in the era of AI.
DevRev builds Computer: an AI-native platform that draws on structured data (like CRM records and tickets) and unstructured data (like emails and Slack threads) to deliver trusted answers and reliable actions. Rather than bolting AI onto legacy software, DevRev built intelligence into the foundation from day one, creating a product that learns each users business, remembers context across sessions, and acts within enterprise-grade governance guardrails.

The challenges DevRev overcame were significant. Enterprise software has long suffered from fragmented toolchains where support, product, and engineering teams operate in silos. Building a platform that delivers consistent, traceable answers rather than summaries or best guesses required rethinking decades of business software conventions. Early versions of AI-powered data queries returned wildly inconsistent results. DevRev solved this through architectural commitments to intent-aware search, schema-grounded data pipelines, and engineering-grade validation of agent behavior before anything reaches production.
DevRevs impact on the AI industry centers on proving that AI can move from impressive demo to trusted enterprise workhorse. Computer has been adopted by organisations including HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Razorpay, and Velocity Global. Customers like BILL have achieved $6M to $15M in annual cost savings. Indias largest airline selected DevRev over Salesforce Agentforce. Agent Studio, the self-serve platform for building, testing, and deploying AI agents, was adopted by 50+ customers before it was even generally available.
DevRev has raised over $150 million from Khosla Ventures and Mayfield at a $1.1 billion valuation. The company was featured on Forbes 2024 list of Americas Best Startup Employers. Headquartered in Palo Alto with seven global offices, DevRev is proving that the future of work is softer, not harder, when AI is built right.
