About Quinly

Quinly Ltd was founded in 2025 to address a growing gap in safe, accessible emotional support and safeguarding tools for children and young people. The company was created in response to increasing concerns around youth mental wellbeing, online safety, and the risks associated with unrestricted AI chatbots being used by younger audiences.

One of the biggest challenges Quinly has overcome has been building AI systems for children in a highly sensitive and regulated environment. This has required balancing innovation with safeguarding, privacy, ethical design, and responsible AI practices. The company has also faced the challenge of creating technology that is accessible and supportive while ensuring that human support and escalation pathways remain central to the experience.

Quinly has contributed to the AI industry by helping shape conversations around ethical and child centred AI. The platform demonstrates how conversational AI can be designed specifically for younger users with safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding at its core rather than adapting adult focused AI systems after development. Quinly is helping establish new standards for responsible AI deployment in education, youth services, and safeguarding environments.

The hard to sit with truths:

  • An estimated 500,000 children in England and Wales are sexually abused every year.
  • Just 2,190 were placed on a child protection plan for sexual abuse in 2024-25.
  • Teachers hear about only one in thirty cases.
  • On average, children wait seven years before disclosing.

The problem is almost never the absence of rules or policies. It is the absence of a safe moment for a child to speak. Quinly creates the moment.
