Oumesh Sauba is the founder and CEO of MyT, an AI-driven accounting app and software specifically designed to address the unique challenges faced by freelancers and micro businesses.
Oumesh began working as a Chartered Management Accountant over 15 years ago, helping freelancers and micro businesses with their accounts and record keeping.
He started working on MyT in 2017, understanding the difficulties small and micro business owners face when it comes to managing their unique financial pressures and needs and wanting to create something that would help.
MyT was developed to empower them with a secure, affordable and easy to use service so that they don’t have to struggle keeping on top of their records.
The tiered, subscription-based service provides businesses with an app and portal that can be easily scaled up or down, depending on requirements. It has features including AI-backed data extraction, professional invoice creator, invoice, bill and receipt management tools, automatic and manual mileage tracking and tax deadline alerts.
MyT not only saves users both time and money, but also ensures businesses remain compliant with Making Tax Digital. It provides a simple way to keep track of business finances on the go, with emphasis being placed on UX design to ensure the app is user friendly and works on a range of devices. Put simply, it allows business owners to benefit from the capabilities of AI without needing any technical experience.
Since its launch on the App Store and Google Play in late 2020, the MyT app has been downloaded over 1000 times. Still in its first round of funding, MyT has successfully secured 132% of their £100,000 target via seedrs, from some 247 investors who share Oumesh’s vision of easy-to-use, intelligent accounting software.
Oumesh has grown MyT since its foundation in 2017, reinventing accounting processes for many businesses and freelancers. He continues to make a growing mark on the industry with plans to expand nationwide in the near future.
