About Dr Anino Emuwa
Dr Anino Emuwa is a global women’s leadership expert with a focus on entrepreneurship, emerging technologies and DE&I . She is the Managing Director of Avandis Consulting and founder of 100 Women @ Davos, an influential network of over 5,000 women leaders across 40+ countries.
Formerly a corporate banker with Citibank, Anino serves on the boards of Nottingham Trent University, the Watch and Jewellery Initiative 2030, and industry-focused on sustainability initiative, where she leads the Diversity and Inclusion task force, and chairs Prembly, a fast-growing tech start-up.
As a prominent advocate for gender equality, Anino is a member of the Institute of Directors’ Expert Advisory Group on Inclusion and Diversity, a LinkedIn Top Voice on Gender Equity, and a TEDx speaker. Her achievements have been recognised globally, with awards including Most Influential Women in Web3 and AI, Top 100 Women of the Future: Metaverse and Web3, and 21 Women Shaping the Global Sustainability Agenda.
She also supports philanthropic initiatives, notably the Cartier Women’s Initiative, Jack Ma Foundation’s Africa Business Heroes and is the co-founder of Women in Philanthropy and Impact Africa.
Anino’s educational background includes a Doctorate in Business Administration from Nottingham Business School, an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, and a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics.
Her career began in corporate banking, managing multinational portfolios, but her passion for supporting women entrepreneurs led her to launch Avandis Consulting and focus on bridging the financing gap for women-led businesses.
In 2017, after witnessing the lack of women’s representation at the World Economic Forum, she launched 100 Women @ Davos to amplify women’s voices in global leadership. During the 79th UN General Assembly, Anino spoke on the development of inclusive Artificial Intelligence and was invited to join the UN Women Leaders Network, launched to champion gender-equal leadership worldwide.
