If you’re a startup founder – or any entrepreneur, building resilience is incredibly important.
Resilience can help any founder bounce back from set backs, learn from their mistakes and keep moving forwards.
But resilience isn’t just something you have. It’s something you learn and build over time.
What Are The Best Ways To Build Resilience?
If you are looking to become more resilient, there are a few things you can do, such as:
Practice regulating your emotions: Being an entrepreneur can be incredibly stressful, and resilience is all about managing those emotions through the ups and downs. Practice meditation, mindfulness and find ways to regulate your emotions when you are feeling on edge.
Become more comfortable with change: Not everything will go to plan, and being comfortable with changing course is very important for any entrepreneur. Get comfortable with changing course so that you can stay adaptable when things go awry.
Grow your problem-solving skills: A big part of leading and growing a company is problem-solving. If you have good problem-solving skills, you’re more likely to trust yourself and adapt to changing situations as they unfold.
Practice optimism: Resilience is all about mindset. Having an optimistic outlook is very important, especially as it can have an impact on team morale.
Surround yourself with the right people: It’s easier to be resilient when you have the right team around you. Surround yourself with optimistic problem solvers who are able to adapt with you.
