Beam is an AI-driven Resilience Intelligence System that helps individuals and organisations detect and reduce micro-stress – the overlooked, everyday pressures that silently erode wellbeing, focus and performance. By translating behavioural patterns into predictive emotional insights, Beam enables earlier, personalised interventions that improve resilience and productivity at scale.
The idea behind Beam was sparked by lived experience. As the founder, I had a successful career in media and data but privately struggled with burnout. When conventional wellbeing apps and healthcare services failed to help, I began tracking my own life data – from work hours and digital habits to family stress and finances. What I discovered was powerful: it wasn’t one issue, but a pattern of daily microstressors that were silently taking a toll. That clarity became the foundation of Beam.
Founded in 2021, Beam combines behavioural science, machine learning and ethical data capture to uncover emotional patterns with 81% predictive accuracy. Unlike traditional tools that rely on surveys or offer one-size-fits-all tips, Beam uses real-time, holistic data from daily life to identify each user’s unique stress triggers – then delivers tailored insights to help them course-correct. For organisations, our anonymised dashboard highlights resilience trends, burnout risk zones and team wellbeing, helping HR leaders take proactive steps before issues escalate.
What makes Beam different is its low-friction, passive data model and dual-impact design: it supports both personal resilience and strategic organisational insight. It’s built to integrate easily into existing NHS pathways, corporate HR systems and insurer platforms, enabling scalable deployment with minimal disruption.
To date, Beam is ORCHA approved, Cyber Essentials+ certified, and supported by NHS Innovation and Mind Charity. We partner with health systems, universities and corporate clients, with results showing a 38% reduction in micro-stress, 23% improvement in wellbeing, and measurable gains in retention, engagement and performance.
Our biggest challenge has been shifting mindsets. The mental health space is crowded with reactive, symptom-led tools. Beam is leading a new category: Resilience Intelligence – using data for good to address causes, not just effects. By designing for privacy, transparency and user control from day one, we’ve earned trust across sectors.
We’re now focused on scaling. In 2025/26, we’ll launch our Personal AI upgrade — offering real-time, personalised decision-making support to users based on their unique emotional drivers. We’re also expanding our commercial reach through NHS tenders, university wellbeing programs and global HR tech partnerships.
