Pundi AI is a decentralised artificial intelligence platform allowing users to interact, deploy, and earn from AI models on the blockchain. Starting in 2023, Pundi AI uses blockchain technology to build a fairer AI ecosystem so addressing important issues in artificial intelligence accessibility, transparency, and decentralisation.
Emerging from a team of AI researchers, blockchain engineers, and open-source advocates who found basic limits in centralised AI systems: opaque data use, monopolised access, and lack of user sovereignty over AI interactions, the platform evolved. Designed to democratise artificial intelligence, Pundi AI guarantees models remain auditable, community-governed, and economically fair for creators and users.
The path offered major technical and financial obstacles. As with optimising gas costs for model interactions and building adoption in a competitive Web3 environment, scaling AI infrastructure while preserving performance proved difficult. The team overcame these challenges by innovating a modular architecture combining hybrid on-chain and off-chain computation with a token-incentivised ecosystem rewarding participation and contribution.
With tools for data annotation, model deployment, and decentralised governance, Pundi AI supports permissionless AI workflows across several blockchain networks. Three core components comprise the technology stack: the Pundi Inference Layer for decentralised AI processing; a Model & Data Marketplace acting as a hub for trading datasets and models; and the $PUNDIAI token driving transactions and governance through vePUNDIAI staking.
Pundi AI aims to reduce risks including censorship, single points of failure, and exploitative pricing models that beset conventional centralised systems by decentralising core AI infrastructure.
