About The Long Run Club
After running 26 miles, the last thing you want to be greeted with (other than an ambulance!) is an ugly, oversized finisher t-shirt, destined to spend the rest of it’s life at the back of a drawer. Languishing lonely and wasted until it’s finally fished out to be used as a painting top. Hardly the shining moment the sponsors and event organisers envisioned for it.
Or maybe you’ve experienced volunteering to take on a company challenge, the excitement of training with your colleagues, raising funds for an important cause only to be handed a hideous, virgin polyester top on the day of your triumph that later gets slung in a donation bag to be ‘recycled’
We’d experienced both these things (more than once!) and decided in 2023 that there had to be a better way to make kit. Better kit for a better planet.
The Long Run Club is the ethical custom kit brand, B Corp certified, we’re a year and a half old and we think, we create the most ethical custom cycling kit in the world.
Using high quality, high performance recycled fabrics spun in Italy, we craft bespoke, made to order cycling garments for corporates and teams who care.
Manufactured in Europe, every order is carbon offset (we’ve already offset 6 tonnes) and delivered with an impact certificate so our customers know exactly what their kit cost the planet and how much better it is for the environment than conventional kit.
In our first year we kitted out 40 teams with recycled kits, replaced 3900 event t-shirts and jerseys with fully recycled alternatives. 0 of our garments have been wasted as everything is made to order.
Member’s of 1% for the planet we’ve pledged to contribute at least one percent of our annual revenue to environmental causes.
We work with causes like Ride for Freedom and Trash Free Trails to help educate and inspire our community and offer an eco care guide for kit for free. And 0% of the waste from our offices goes to landfill, reduce, reuse and recycle.
Each order we send out also receives a free mini mascot, knitted locally we purchase these from a mental health charity, supporting their amazing work.
We’re building a brand to disrupt the custom kit market, shake up the unsustainable and change the way brands represent themselves in the sporting world.
