In 2019, Traced’s Founder Benedict Jones’ career-long passion for cyber threat research led him to identify a sharp rise in mobile-targeted cyber attacks. This rise came as Cyber Criminals are exploiting employees’ use of mobile devices for work in their business-targeted cyber attacks – using attack techniques like mobile phishing and malware apps.
Having observed victim organisations suffer huge costs at the hands of these attacks and the challenges organisations face as they struggle to prevent them, Ben set out to make a change for the better. So, at the start of 2020, the Traced team set out with their vision: “to live in a world where anyone can comfortably easily and securely use the same device for work and play.”
To realise their vision by solving the security, privacy and complexity challenges of mobile threats; the Traced team developed their award-winning mobile threat defence solution, Trustd MTD.
