About QDOS
Founded in 2006 by husband-and-wife Susan and Yvan Lazareff, QDOS set out with one mission- to improve customers’ daily interactions with their consumer tech. But this mission quickly evolved. QDOS soon realised the high volumes of products they were bringing into the market without knowing where they ended up. This light bulb moment changed the focus of QDOS forever.
In 2019, they made their first eco move, switching to 0% plastic packaging. With this change, QDOS reduced plastic waste by 1.27 tons and by the end of 2020, all packaging was made from 100% recyclable materials. Soon after came their ‘ECO Case, ’ a range of 100% biodegradable and naturally resourced phone cases. But the progress didn’t stop there…
Fast forward to 2025, QDOS has taken action across their entire product lineup. Their HYBRID case range is now made from 100% recycled and recyclable plastics, their OptiGuard Screen protection range is made using an industry-leading 60% recycled glass and, most impressively, the QDOS SnapStand is the first 3-in-1 wireless charger made from recycled zinc housing.
This is just the beginning of QDOS’s sustainability journey as founder Susan said, “Reducing our environmental footprint as we continue to grow is an ongoing mission and one thing is certain- we’ll continue to seek out new innovations and initiatives to put the planet first”
To ensure that QDOS and its entire upstream supply chain consistently improve and remain aligned with industry standards, the company partners with global organisations to maintain ongoing scrutiny and accountability at every stage of production. Through external audits, QDOS benchmarks its processes against industry leaders, ensuring it meets the highest standards for both consumers and the planet.
QDOS’s Partnerships
Amfori: As a leading global business association for open and sustainable trade, Amfori supports QDOS and its business partners in identifying and addressing sustainability issues. Through its Business Environment Performance Initiative (BEPI), Amfori helps focus improvement efforts on the topics most relevant to QDOS’s operational activities
EcoVadis: A trusted sustainability rating platform, EcoVadis assesses QDOS’s supply chain performance, ensuring transparency and measurable improvements in environmental and social responsibility.
Carbon Footprint: Partnering with Carbon Footprint enables QDOS to actively measure, reduce, and offset its carbon emissions, building climate-conscious operations with a lower environmental impact.
Not only do QDOS products and partnerships contribute to protecting the planet, but so does the QDOS Team. From carpooling to work, organising company beach clean-ups and using eco-friendly toilet paper, they truly practice what they preach! QDOS even purchased a piece of woodland from the Woodland Trust to help preserve natural habitats and biodiversity! Protecting the planet isn’t the only driving force of QDOS; they also recognise people need protecting too, and in 2024, the team took part in a grueling Tough Mudder, raising £2,800 for Mind UK.
QDOS’s sustainability journey has been one of constant innovation and commitment. They have made significant progress in elevating every part of their company with an eco-conscious mind; and will continue to set an example in the tech industry.
