About Verco

Verco is a net zero consultancy and software business. They are passionate about helping clients achieve net zero goals, reduce environmental impact and minimise cost. The team has 30 years of experience supporting industry initiatives, advising government policy and building long-term relationships with clients.

Founded in 1989 and rebranded in 2012, the company’s vision is to provide the solutions for a zero-carbon world. They use a combination of technology, innovation and specialist expertise to achieve it.

Verco was acquired by a leading consultancy, BIP, in 2023. This partnership enables Verco to amplify and extend their reach, expand their capabilities and accelerate their global impact as part of the BIP Global Sustainability Centre of Excellence.

In the last year alone, Verco consultants completed 18 net zero studies for factories in 8 different countries, developed investment scenarios for more than $5.5 billion of capital for net zero projects and conducted audits that saved 2,116 tCO2 for real estate clients. Verco’s software platforms facilitate simplified reporting across complex datasets and drive the identification and delivery of millions of pounds of savings each year.

The team is proud to practice what they preach. Verco has been a BCorp since 2018 and has committed to be net zero by 2030, despite doubling headcount and more than trebling turnover. They have STEM ambassadors to promote Science, Technology Engineering and Maths subjects to students, dedicated Inclusion and Impact teams, and volunteering days for each of their three offices, giving back to the communities in which they work.

Despite having all of the data, many businesses are only looking at their net zero position once a year. Paired with data version control challenges and uncertain costs, it’s difficult to navigate the complexity of a net zero pathway on a day-to-day basis. Choosing carbon reduction projects can be a risky leap into the unknown.

In partnership with BIP, Verco has developed a software platform to solve this problem. Launched in 2024, MyVerco simplifies the net zero challenge by bringing all net zero data together into one place. The software uses AI paired with Verco’s extensive net zero dataset for reliable and costed forecasting and sophisticated project management. The fact that clients now have a dynamic view of their net zero pathway is game changing, so this technology is a real turning point for how Verco will meet customer needs in the future.
