About Murfee AI

Murfee AI is a real-time governance platform that checks whether an AI agent is actually authorised to act before it touches any live system, payment rail or booking infrastructure. Founded in August 2023, the company was built around one observation: AI can now spend money, trigger payments and complete transactions without a human in the loop, and the safety layer to control that simply does not exist yet.

The problem affects every business deploying AI in a commercial context. A travel management company loses margin every time an AI booking slips outside policy and nobody catches it until after the money has moved. A corporate finance team faces audit exposure when AI-initiated payments process without verified authority. A payment network watching AI agents hit its rails has no deterministic way to confirm the action was permitted before it clears. The common thread is the same: existing systems are built to process transactions and clean up problems afterwards. Murfee AI stops the problem before it starts.

Every transaction is verified against hard rules before it proceeds. Binary yes or no. Sub-100 microseconds. Nothing moves until the check passes. No rails of any kind are touched if the answer is no.

The biggest challenge was not technical. It was market education. Tier one financial networks and enterprise infrastructure businesses needed to understand that surviving the AI commerce era did not require ripping out and replacing their existing systems. The hardest problem Murfee AI solved was proving that next-generation, deterministic governance could be delivered entirely over legacy rails, sitting on top of existing infrastructure without disruption. That argument had to be won through architecture, not sales materials.

That was proven in March 2026: Murfee AI signed a live integration agreement with one of the largest payment acquirers in the world, a business whose partner evaluation process is regarded across the payments industry as among the most demanding applied to any prospective technology partner. That category of business does not routinely sign agreements with early-stage companies. The fact that this one did reflects a genuine assessment of both the architecture and the problem it addresses.

Corporate travel is the beachhead market because it combines real-time payment authority, duty of care obligations and multi-party policy enforcement within a single transaction chain, making it one of the most demanding compliance environments in enterprise operations. Governance that holds up there holds up anywhere, which is why the roadmap extends into financial services in Q3 2026 and telecoms and payments from 2027.

Murfee AI is in active commercial dialogue with major players across global travel distribution and tier one payment technology networks, with conversations running outside standard startup channels. Twelve patent applications have been filed with the UK Intellectual Property Office, all have cleared the IPO security check, and the foundational work behind them was underway more than two years before agentic AI attracted mainstream commercial attention. A Series A is targeted on the back of the first signed enterprise reference client.”
