Postcard is a travel media and representation company for luxury hotels and travel designers that support the local community and promote responsible tourism. Member companies publish local stories of their people and place, and Postcard showcases them to its global community of mindful luxury travellers through its portfolio of media products.
The weekly Postcard Newsletter showcases stories of our member hotels and tours in an effort to inspire people about the world. The Hotel and Tour directory helps travellers find luxury hotels and tours that support the local community and promote responsible tourism. The upcoming Postcard Travel Show takes us on a journey into the lives of some of the founders of these incredible companies.

How did you come up with the idea for the company?
In 2019, I decided to take a break from work and travel for a bit. I was trying to find hotels and tours that promoted responsible travel, but conventional search and social media didn’t help me find the companies I was looking for.
I decided to build something that I would use.
Postcard is a community-driven platform where we bring together authentic voices for responsible tourism. Through our multiple media outlets (hotel and tour directories, newsletter and podcast), we share their stories and connect them with a global community of mindful travellers for enquiries and bookings.

How has the company evolved over the last couple of years?
In the beginning, Postcard was a generic storytelling platform where we were inviting everyone to write stories of their travels. Then in 2020, I joined the Transformational Travel Council and got a chance to meet and know some amazing individuals who were very committed to advancing mindful travel.
They discussed the challenges facing the industry, and that gave me an understanding of their need to find alternative channels for marketing. These were small businesses with a lot of passion, wanting to bring change to the world. It was then we slowly pivoted Postcard to help represent these companies and do what we could to help them succeed.
What can we hope to see from Postcard in the future?
As a media and representation platform, we continue to look for new ways to better represent our members through storytelling.
We just launched the Postcard newsletter, where we feature local stories shared by our members. Our upcoming podcast features the founders of these amazing companies, where we dive into their personal stories and stories from their hotels and tours.
Our vision is to inspire a new generation of mindful travellers through storytelling.
