Tell us about MiQuest

 

MiQuest is the first AI-powered skincare which offers personalised prescription-grade skincare for the most common skin problems: acne, melasma, hyperpigmentation, and rosacea; as well as remedies for menopausal skin or dull skin too.

Combining AI technology with the experience of its expert team (made up of dermatologists, pharmacists, and formulation doctors), MiQuest is specially designed to treat and cure, rather than mask, these problems; leaving people feeling both more comfortable and more confident in their own skin.

How did you come up with the idea for the company? 

 

We have been developing, manufacturing and supplying personalised medicines to the NHS for over 30 years. Our experience over the years has made us aware of a huge gap in the availability of high-quality, affordable healthcare – especially when it comes to skin conditions. People are desperate for solutions, but the lengthy wait times for dermatology appointments meant that many were left to simply struggle with concerns like acne, pigmentation, melasma, and rosacea. 

Looking around, we saw companies claiming to offer personalised skincare, but with our experience we quickly realised that these were merely skin gimmicks. If they used powerful prescription ingredients, they definitely weren’t personalised.
That’s when we realised that we already had everything we needed to create real personalised skincare, which was the decades of experience in formulating, developing, and manufacturing bespoke prescription medicines. 

But we knew we could take it even further by incorporating game-changing AI technology. Combining AI with our expertise allowed us to create something that truly works – bespoke skincare that adapts to each individual’s skin to provide real results. 

 

 

What do you think makes this company unique? 

 

What sets us apart from the rest is the fusion of AI technology with decades of pharmaceutical expertise. While other companies are jumping on the “personalised skincare” bandwagon, we’ve created something real. By combining our clinical prescribing experience, bespoke medicine development, and cutting-edge AI we’re able to create truly personalised skincare solutions. 

These aren’t just fancy promises, they’re tailored solutions that actually work. It’s the perfect marriage of science and technology, making MiQuest a pioneer in the future of skincare. 

 

What is your advice to aspiring entrepreneurs? 

 

It’s easy to be seduced by flashy marketing and the glamour of quick success in today’s world. But our advice would be to not fall for the hype. Instead, focus on building something that actually works. The key to success isn’t just a killer marketing campaign, it’s about having the skills, knowledge, and passion to create a product or service that provides real value. 

Invest in learning the ins and outs of your industry and once you’ve got the foundation, the marketing, growth, and customer satisfaction will follow naturally. Building something meaningful is the most rewarding part of entrepreneurship. 

 

What most excites you about MiQuest? 

 

I think we have something very special in our ability to change lives. Our AI technology thrives on growth and evolves to reach greater capabilities as we onboard more users. This means that the more people we help, the smarter and more capable our technology becomes, which means we can continue offering even more personalised solutions. We’ve combined traditional pharma with tech which really excites me. 

 

How has the company evolved over the last couple of years? 

 

MiQuest started as a traditional R&D and manufacturing company. But as the world of technology rapidly advanced, we realised that to truly innovate in the skincare industry, we needed to evolve. Over the past couple of years, we’ve transformed into a Pharma- Tech company – combining our expertise in bespoke medicines with the power of AI technology. 

This evolution has opened up new opportunities which allows us to create even more personalised and effective treatments. We’re not just talking about skincare anymore, we’re shaping the future of skincare where tech and science come together for real results. 

 

What can we hope to see from MiQuest in the future? 

 

The future is looking bright! We’re looking at some really exciting projects that are set to push the boundaries of skincare even further. Our future involves a lot of cross- disciplinary innovation, combining pharma, AI, and engineering to create treatments that are even more tailored and effective.
