Humānery is an online destination for men to purchase the finest self-care products. Launched in October 2021, we’re a global marketplace with a head office in London.
The world no longer sees self-care as a female-only space, but many men still feel alienated from the world of beauty, grooming and wellness. We want to change that and empower even more men to look and feel great. Humānery is the big brother, sister, cousin or best friend supporting men in their journey of education and discovery.
How did you come up with the idea for the company?
I came up with the idea for Humānery following my own struggles with self-care. After experiencing post-shave razor burn, I found it a huge challenge to find a product from a traditional beauty store.
After speaking with friends, I realised this was a broader problem for many men who wanted to buy self-care products but had no idea who to turn to for advice, or where to go to conveniently purchase a product for their needs. We launched Humānery to remove the stress and anxiety out of purchasing self-care products, and to give men a safe space online to discover the brands they love.
Coming from a minority background, I truly believe that many groups are still overlooked and underserved in the beauty industry. At Humānery, we hope to help change that.

How has the company evolved over the last couple of years?
Since we launched Humānery we have seen steady growth. Starting from a small idea I dreamt up a few years ago, to gaining seed investment last summer, to launching in October, it has been an incredibly exciting journey so far.
One of the most enjoyable aspects has been lending our support to some of the world’s finest independent brands. Each brand that we work with has a strong ethos and interesting story to tell and we love nothing more than introducing our customers to a curated collection of self-care products to discover.
What can we hope to see from Humānery in the future?
As we look forward to our next funding round, we are excited about what the future holds.
We know that the growth potential for our offer is huge. Male BPC is the fastest-growing category in the global beauty industry, valued at more than $160 billion dollars and growing more than 4% year on year. This is a hugely untapped market Humānery is set to capitalise on.
As we continue to grow our loyal customer base, we will also further our mission to break bias within the beauty industry by encouraging more men to put self-care first.
