Hillel's Tech Corner: Dayzz app helps you sleep at nightzz - The Jerusalem Post

How did you come up with the idea for the company?

When I decided to pursue my calling and utilize my knowledge and experience for a better cause, I remembered the years I struggled with sleep and decided that this is what I wanted to do. I have always wanted to do something with a positive impact and helping people sleep better seemed to be the perfect fit.

My goal is to make dayzz the leader and north star for healthy sleep.

How has the company evolved during the pandemic?

The pandemic provided a unique opportunity for dayzz to bridge a gap in the health industry, through our focus on remote care. Many people experienced drastic changes in their sleep patterns due to the pandemic and multiple quarantines and were desperately searching for assistance.

Yet many were afraid to leave their homes to get treatment. That’s where dayzz came in. Our app allows people to get the help they need without having to leave the comfort of their own homes, providing our users with remote care. The pandemic also allowed us to diversify the team because we were able to move to hybrid and remote working environments. We no longer had to hire only people in Israel within a certain radius from our offices.

What can we hope to see from dayzz in the future?

dayzz focuses on distributing sleep for everyone while being personalized and comprehensive and focuses on four main pillars:

  1. Clinical validation – dayzz invests a significant portion of our budget in clinical trials and validation projects to ensure every component of our technology and content really works and gets positive clinical results. We have been working with Johns Hopkins University, Harvard University, and the Technion in Israel and are currently planning our next major trial.
  2. Specific protocls for specific groups– such as medical staff, regulated audience, RLS patients, and women going through menopause
  3. Engagement – We are improving our AI engines continuously to make sure that our users are getting the best treatment in the best and most personalized manner
  4. Distribution – We are offering our capabilities to other platforms and chronic disease management solutions to add sleep treatment to their offering in order to improve their outcomes.
