Tell us about the business, how did it come about?
Fintech Review was founded at the beginning of 2020, back when Covid-19 was barely a thing. After spending a few years in financial services, I became really passionate about innovation and how fintech can solve people’s problems. Fintech Review started as a personal blog to air my thoughts about what the industry was all about. It has now evolved to be much more than that, and I have very much enjoyed every steps on the way.
What have you learnt so far?
I knew nothing about the media industry or web development when I started. As you can imagine, I had to learn a lot very quickly. It has been a steep learning curve but I am curious about many things in life, therefore I have the tendency to love learning new things.
It has also been great to interact and meet (virtually) so many people in the industry. From other influencers to entrepreneurs trying to disrupt the industry or create new products.

What challenges have you overcome? How have you responded during Covid?
Fintech Review really took off in the second half of 2020, when Covid-19 was raging all over the world. Stay-at-home orders and lockdowns have actually been beneficial as more people interacted with others digitally, and were looking for great content that is different from mainstream publications.
Meanwhile, the main challenge has been to find enough time to dedicate to Fintech Review, as I work on other projects at the same time, including building my own fintech startup. Time management and a solid organisation are really necessary not to drown in work every day! But I figured, if several successful entrepreneurs can pursue a few ventures at the same time, so can I…
What are your plans for growth?
Fintech Review has grown to be much more that I have ever expected: we just passed over 11,000 views since launch, with more than 1,000 coming every months to read the articles. That’s fantastic.
My plan is to continue growing the audience, be it the viewers or the subscribers to the weekly updates. Even if fintech is niche, I am really keen to get more people to know what it is and understand what is going on.
