Tell us about yourself
I’m Aleksandra (Alex) Miljus, Founder and CEO of Wise & Zeal, a business focused on transforming marketing processes, programmes, projects, properties and people, with a specialism in C-Suite marketing. My leadership team are all female ex-client side marketers with decades of experience who, together with the wider team, deliver transformational marketing success in corporate and scale-up environments.
Tell us about your company
I started my tech career in 1992 at Microsoft. Here, I learnt the value of marketing with empathy and why it was critical to create connections and experiences that truly engaged people with the brand. I experienced expansion into new markets, growth at a scale not seen previously and realised how technology truly impacts lives. I was so inspired by the experience, I have stayed in the tech sector ever since.
I genuinely love the pace of change and the high energy levels you get to experience. Creating innovative high revenue growth ideas against tight timeframes, in start-ups and scale-ups, is as exhilarating as breaking down barriers to improve efficiencies in large corporations.
I have also worked in other big corporations such as Siemens, Veritas, Symantec, as well as ServiceNow and MarkLogic – both of which were then in hyper-growth phases – and provided consultancy and guidance to challenger brands and start-up apps. With a CV predominantly focused on high-level marketing and demand generation, but with a strong background in business operations and sales enablement, I can quickly identify where an organisation can have a significant impact and know how to implement processes and systems to expand a company’s footprint against strict timelines and tight budgets. I am proud of my track record of driving stellar business growth and building strong, data-driven marketing teams.

What advice do you have for companies entering the Women In Tech 2025?
It’s exciting to be part of this year’s ‘Women in Tech’ judging panel. 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting time for women in technology. More women hold leadership positions and have therefore also become important role models to those starting out in their careers. The rapid growth of remote work and flexible work schedules – which I am a huge advocate of, and is how I run Wise & Zeal – has opened doors for women to thrive.
How do you suggest entrants should stand out from the crowd?
My advice, when preparing your submission for the Women in Tech 2025 Awards, is to focus on authenticity, innovation and impact. Tell a story that talks about your genuine commitment to empowering women in tech, showcase outcomes, share learnings and be open about the challenges you’ve experienced, and how ideas or actions have evolved over time.
Any final thoughts?
I’m interested in knowing how you’re driving change. I know this is a business focused award, and you’ll provide the data and testimonials to support any claims, but, where possible, make it personal. Your efforts will be transforming individuals – inside, or outside, the organisation – and I want to hear all about that.
Avoid generic buzzwords and acronyms, but most importantly, let your entry leave no doubt about your passion and results.
Good luck!
