For decades, personality analysis required long questionnaires — we do it in seconds with one selfie!
Tell us about Facevue.ai
Put simply, we’re here to revolutionise the world of customised experiences.
At Facevue.ai we’ve developed proprietary AI technology that can identify personality from a single photo in seconds, opening up almost limitless applications.
Personality assessment has always relied on long questionnaires that people often answer strategically or inconsistently. We’ve changed that, by using science-backed breakthrough AI to instantly deliver “Big5″ personality insights – enabling truly personalised digital experiences.
Our technology predicts personality traits with accuracy comparable to a friend who knows you, producing results in seconds at very low cost. And because it doesn’t rely on self-reporting, it avoids many of the biases that traditional tests suffer from.
What’s interesting is that people often recognise the results immediately — and their friends or colleagues sometimes recognise them even more quickly.
For us, the real excitement is that technology can finally start adapting to people, rather than forcing people to adapt to technology. That shift feels long overdue.

How did you come up with the idea for the company?
Humans form impressions of people within seconds of seeing a face — it’s part of how we’ve evolved to navigate the world. The question was whether technology could learn to do something similar in a structured, scientific way.
Psychologists have long shown there are subtle links between facial features and behaviour, influenced by biology, inheritance, hormones, and even how life experiences shape our expressions over time. Individually those effects are weak, which is why earlier attempts to build systems around them didn’t really go anywhere.
But modern neural networks and large datasets finally made it possible to combine these signals at scale. A major academic study led by Yale and Wharton universities, analysing 96,000 individuals over two years, demonstrated that the technology could predict personality traits with remarkable consistency.
At that point it became clear that this wasn’t just interesting research — it was something with serious real-world applications.

At the heart of Facevue is our proprietary AI engine, turning facial images into personality insights that power personalised digital experiences. Our most powerful capability is analysing personality rapidly and at scale, through our API. The nice challenge for us is the limitless potential applications of this remarkable capability.
We’re at the beginning of our commercial journey. But in testing our consumer app we regularly see people react with genuine surprise at how closely the results match how they see themselves — or how their friends see them — with gasps of “Wow! How could it possibly know that about me”?
This very engaging app allows users to scan their face, gain deep personality insights, receive lifestyle guidance, and match with others more accurately – by removing reliance on sometimes unreliable self-descriptions — the face does not lie!
The response to this feature has been off the charts electric.
For partners, our fast API allows platforms to build personality-aware experiences directly into their products, whether in dating, retail, wellness or other consumer experiences.
What most excites you about the AI and personality technology industry?
Human psychology sits behind almost everything we do. Intelligent technology is increasingly woven into every facet of our daily lives.
Personality AI powered propositions have the potential to reshape how people meet partners, build teams, choose careers, navigate digital experiences and interact with brands. Platforms can respond to who people actually are – moving away from users not just as data points. For example, with our technology advertising moves from ignored spam to a genuinely engaging personalised experience.
The next generation of digital products won’t just be smarter — they’ll feel more intuitive and more human. And we’re still at the beginning of that very exciting shift.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome along the way?
The science is complex, the capability is mind-blowingly accurate – but the real challenge is turning breakthrough technology into solutions that serve real needs.
You have to balance innovation, usability, ethics, and real-world value. Science and technology alone aren’t enough — execution, product focus, and delivering real benefits matter most.
Like many startups, we’ve had to keep adapting, learning quickly and finding practical ways forward while working within the constraints every young company faces.
What is your number one piece of advice to aspiring entrepreneurs?
It may be your beautiful baby, but … Don’t fall in love with the brilliance of your technology! Customers aren’t looking for algorithms — they’re looking for solutions.
Every great product or strategy that ever existed, puts the customer at the centre of the value proposition. Everything else is just mere technology.
What can we hope to see from Facevue.ai in the future?
Our goal is to make personality-driven digital interactions feel as normal as profile photos do today.
We aim to develop deep mutually beneficial B2B and B2B2C partnerships – enabling their customers and people feel genuinely understood and “seen”.
Our technology moves in leaps every month and becomes even faster and more powerful, as we drive our ambitious innovation roadmap forward.
As for what comes next — we’re only just getting started!
