HOMETAINMENT is on a mission to change the future of entertainment in your home. Our platform enables customers to book Private Chefs, Mixologists, Musicians, Children entertainers and more. With over 2500 guests since June 2021 and major partnerships signed, HOMETAINMENT is now ready to scale in London and abroad.
My vision is to bring back the magic of hosting at home, by bringing together friends and family, to enjoy memorable experiences in a safe and comfortable environment.
We know how stressful it can be to host parties at home so we want to remove this stress by making everyone the “host with the most” by providing a wide choice of entertainment to choose from including: a top private chef prepare your meal, a talented mixologist to make incredible cocktails, a sommelier to organise a wine tasting, a DJ to get your guests up and dancing, a children’s entertainer for a magical birthday party, or maybe you’d rather invite your friends round for a crystal healing party, or learn how to dress your dinner table for Christmas.
We are on a mission to change the future of HOME entertainment!

How did you come up with the idea for the company?
HOMETAINMENT was created like many other unique businesses during the pandemic to answer the increasing demand of the at home market, which has seen a huge increase, despite restrictions now having eased. We also wanted to help freelancers from the hospitality and entertainment industry to find a new revenue channel during the pandemic.
People were, and still are, looking for unique experiences so I wanted them to be able to provide this themselves, and to get back to the basics of human connections and create memories that will last.
I like to think we are unique as we cover all aspects of entertainment at home, from the food, drinks and music, to learning, arts &craft and even children’s amusement. I’m also a true hôtelier and restaurateur, having worked over the past 25 years for well-known luxury and lifestyle hospitality brands such as Mandarin Oriental and Soho House, which I think helps provide that extra touch and attention to detail to the business.

How has the company evolved over the last couple of years?
We started with 30 experts called ‘HOMEtainers’ and 70 experiences across four categories (Food, Drinks, Music and Arts & Crafts). We now have 75 HOMEtainers, 170 experiences and 7 categories (adding Children’s experiences, Masterclasses and OFFICEtainment) so we’ve grown our offering considerably in a short time frame.
We’ve also expanded internally and are now a team of eight, with one more person joining us next month as Business Development Manager to develop our B2B partnerships.
What can we hope to see from HOMETAINMENT in the future?
Future plans involve continuing to revolutionise the entertainment at home industry as a whole as well as bringing the best of the hospitality world into people’s homes.
We hope to bring a gaming category in the near future too. We also have plans next year to start our international expansion into new cities such as Paris and New York which is a very exciting step.
As always, we aim to continuously improve our platform to make the customer and HOMEtainer journeys as seamless as possible.
