Meet Dor Eisner, CEO and Co-Founder at Cybersecurity Company: Guardz

Guardz secures and insures small and mid-sized businesses to create a safer digital world. Our cost effective , all-in-one platform is built for companies with low IT proficiency, as well as MSPs, that cannot afford to pay for, or are not equipped to manage, complicated and expensive platforms built for larger enterprises.

The holistic solution protects businesses across all of their most vulnerable attack surfaces, with easy onboarding and ongoing support, and renders them eligible for cyber insurance, which we also provide.

How did you come up with the idea for the company?

In my previous role before founding Guardz, I became very aware of the rise in Attack-as-a-Service tools being sold on the Dark Web and the growing number of criminals weaponizing these tools to target large swaths of businesses at scale. It’s often small businesses who fall prey and pay the worst price of these ‘spray and pray’ attacks, and yet most available solutions are created for larger enterprises.

Without the resources to afford these legacy cyber solutions, the capacity to manage and maintain them, and the experience to handle remediations once their organizations have been penetrated, small businesses are left in a very vulnerable position, and they often do not qualify for cyber insurance as a result.

So, together with my co-founder Alon Lavi, we created Guardz to not only protect these small businesses, but to also make them eligible for cyber insurance. We are the only cybersecurity solution for SMBs that does external and internal monitoring, detection, prevention, and remediation, all of which is key to providing better insurance coverage in addition to keeping a business secured. By addressing this catch 22, we are addressing a huge untapped market and helping to protect the backbone of the economy.

How has the company evolved over the last couple of years?

We founded Guardz in 2022 and have since raised a seed round of $10M led by Hanaco Ventures, with participation from iAngels, GKFF Ventures, and Cyverse Capital, which we have used to continue to develop and improve our product.

We have also recently launched a dedicated, all-in-one MSP platform to ease the challenges MSPs face in protecting their small business clients while cutting costs and boosting their revenue.

What can we hope to see from Guardz in the future?

We will continue to expand our product and scale our go-to-market distribution channels to protect even more small businesses across the globe. We also plan to build out our cyber insurance line of business in order to directly provide our customers insurance.
