Meet James Grover, Director at Home Medical Device Supplier: Kinetik Wellbeing

James Grover

Kinetik Wellbeing has become one of the largest suppliers of home-use medical devices in the UK. Our products are available in over 85% of pharmacies and listed in over 7,000 retail stores throughout the UK, and our mission is to empower people to manage their own health at home.

We have proud longstanding partnerships with top healthcare services, including St John Ambulance (SJA) as well as working with local authorities and the NHS. For every purchase of a Kinetik Wellbeing device, St John Ambulance receives a donation from Kinetik Wellbeing to help them carry out their crucial work.

Since the partnership began, Kinetik Wellbeing has so far donated in excess of £200,000 to St John Ambulance, which is the equivalent of training 2,000 volunteers or keeping 50 ambulances on the road. We have also partnered with Nuffield Health to provide a range of remote monitoring devices for their site. With these initiatives, we are able to showcase our potential in disrupting the self-monitoring industry.

We Deliver Health To The Home | Kinetik Wellbeing

How did you come up with the idea for the company?

Kinetik Wellbeing was started under the premise that everyone should have access to technology that helps them stay healthy. We therefore provide reliable, affordable and accurate medical devices that help people to monitor and manage their health.

Our mission is to offer significant cost savings across a broad range of devices to the public, whilst ensuring the highest level of quality and patient care. We believe wellbeing should be at the forefront of everyone’s mind and that basic knowledge and skills around healthcare can save lives; monitoring is a means of doing that.

How has the company evolved during the Pandemic?

The pandemic has allowed us to increase the availability of our products with added efficiency and speed. It became a priority for Kinetik Wellbeing to ease the strain on the NHS and our charitable partners by enabling and educating the public on how to take key measurements like blood pressure or blood oxygen saturation from home, safely.

Like most, COVID-19 was a huge shock for us, but we are proud to say that we have supplied a million products since 2019, a great indicator that our technology is helping people throughout the UK cope with the effects of the pandemic.

What can we hope to see from Kinetik Wellbeing in the future?

Our focus at Kinetik Wellbeing is to continue our national and international expansion. We’re working towards our award winning devices being in every home in the UK and continue to support the NHS as an important supplier. Last year alone we won numerous awards and recognition, including Which? Best Buy Awards for devices like our Ear and Forehead Digital Thermometer, showcasing the quality of our work. We are also determined to reduce our impact on the planet, paying special attention to diminishing our carbon emissions and waste. We will focus our efforts on plastic alternatives and move to sustainable forestry sources.

Our intention is for our products to help all, monitor and manage their health, long term. Alongside this, Kinetik Wellbeing is focused on the continuation of introducing new and improved technology to our customers including our new Connected range coming soon.
