Meet Lee Fitzpatrick, Co-Founder at Problem Solving Workshop Company: Hink

Lee Fitzpatrick

Hink helps businesses to solve problems of any size, across any industry. Using a diverse mix of creative exercises and business tools, we partner with businesses and teams to facilitate decision making, inspire creativity, develop new products and break down complex challenges

Business longevity is our ultimate goal and making better decisions is key to this. Think of Hink as your business mirror: we are there when you need to look at what’s really going on. We reflect back what you need to see (but may not want to) in order to be your very best.

Our workshops include Quick Fire Decision Making, Lightning Sprint, Lego Serious Play, and Design Sprint 2.0, and they all provide an unbiased environment for teams to safely express and explore. Using creative problem-solving techniques, we ensure that our workshops are interactive, goal orientated and productive for everyone involved.

Yes…I did mention using Lego to solve challenges. Sounds fun, right?

How did you come up with the idea for the company?

2020 was a year of significant change, where even the smallest challenges were difficult to navigate. We’ve been inspired by the resilient approach taken by business leaders and their teams during this period. As brand builders in our other business, Outlaw Social, when Covid-19 struck, most of our clients were unable to develop strategies with any longevity due to the changing landscape, so we doubled down on supporting them with short term quality decision making, inspiring creativity and facilitating problem solving.

This led up to developing Hink, as a way to use the power of workshopping to facilitate the clear and creative thinking that is required right now to build the businesses of the future.

How has the company evolved during the pandemic?

That’s when Hink was born in our heads! We really value the lessons these strangest of times have taught us and as mentioned, we have seen first-hand how much help is needed to develop strategies with longevity. And here we are, ready to offer that help, in our own unique way.

We have created our workshops using creative problem-solving techniques to ensure that they are interactive, and goal orientated, with the aim of delivering value and clarity for everybody involved, no matter how difficult times are.

We are also currently offering free 45-minute support sessions for all businesses across Scotland, providing them with the opportunity to discuss their challenges, meet experienced workshoppers, and explore workshop solutions.

To be honest, we really think that facilitating growth and change can contribute not only to better business, but to the mental health of all involved and, therefore, to a better world!

What can we hope to see from Hink in the future?

Our mission is to facilitate change. Our aim is to help businesses, brands, organisations and individuals to achieve their potential and we are only just getting started.

2021 has been declared the International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development” by the UN and we believe that creativity is the key to unlocking growth and potential for most organisations.

Our ethos is simple: matching the right person with the right problem is the key to a successful business outcome. That’s why we’re growing a network of workshoppers from across the globe to help solve your business challenges. From culture and team building to brand positioning and product development, there’s no business problem we can’t solve thanks to our diverse team of “Hinkers.”
