Tell us about Logpoint.
Cyber risk is an enormous challenge today. It’s a societal threat to companies and society as a whole. Logpoint addresses that by offering threat detection, investigation, and response capabilities through a Security Information Event Management (SIEM) solution to mid-sized organizations and the Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) who serve them.
At Logpoint, there is so much talent and deep knowledge about cybersecurity and our customers’ and partners’ challenges. I’m impressed with the product and continuous security content produced to help mid-sized organisations get access to advanced technology to protect against current and emerging threats and achieve the security outcomes they’re looking for.
What do you think makes this company unique?
Logpoint is a unique vendor because we have a European foundation, which naturally comes with a greater sense of data protection.
Logpoint is the only European SIEM vendor with a Common Criteria EAL3+ certification, which means that we uphold the highest security and data standards and that our systems are robust and prepared for emerging threats.
We can also offer our solution across premises. The consolidation in the SIEM market is seeing more and more on-prem solutions disappear. Our solution remains on-prem as well as SaaS, which is especially crucial for critical infrastructure organisations.

How has the company evolved over the last couple of years?
Logpoint has been around for many years and has a lot of experience in addressing the needs of organisations in the mid-market. Since the beginning, Logpoint has been on a growth journey, going through different funding rounds and acquiring technology companies to enhance the offering. Last year, Summa Equity acquired a majority stake in the company to establish Logpoint as a European cybersecurity powerhouse as an alternative to the dominant US vendors.
There are several complications in procuring US technology due to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, Section 702 (FISA 702), which is a statute that authorises US intelligence services to collect, use, and disseminate information about foreign entities through American organisations without legal process, and that includes cybersecurity vendors. As a European vendor, Logpoint is not subject to FISA 702.
What can we hope to see from Logpoint in the future?
We have high growth ambitions, and we’re looking at growing through three different focus areas.
First, we’re considering strategic acquisitions to enhance our offering and increase our market share in the European mid-market. We want to keep adding value to our customers and partners, and we see acquisitions as a faster way to do that. Second, we want to ensure it’s always easy to partner with Logpoint for both channel partners and MSSPs. I’m spending a lot of time getting to know them and understanding the challenges and opportunities they see in the market. Our offering needs to reflect that and enable them to scale. And finally, we want Logpoint to be a great place to work. As we scale, attracting and retaining the best cybersecurity talent is key, and a strong culture is necessary to do that.
