With thousands of Makeup Artists, Hair Stylists and Beauty Professionals, our platform allows consumers to easily browse and book local professionals to their home, office, hotel room or into a salon in their local area. MY REV is a leader in the beauty and tech space providing a seamless on-demand service for both professionals and consumers allowing them to connect through one app and book in 3 simple steps.
How did you come up with the idea for the company?
The idea of MY REV came from my personal experience of being an established freelance Makeup Artist in the industry however struggling to find work when I moved overseas. I soon realised that being self-employed required you to oversee everything from marketing yourself to managing your accounts. Myself and my Co-Founder, Jason Iliffe, realised the need for a platform which was empowering the self-employed which takes up over 70% of the beauty industry. We found a gap in the market for a platform which allows consumers to easily browse and book professionals with real images, transparent prices and real reviews.
MY REV provides our consumers with choice and transparency with an appointment to suit every budget from competitive price points to Celebrity Makeup Artists. We are changing the way at-home and salon services are booked in a word-of-mouth industry.

How has the company evolved over the past few years?
MY REV was previously AMB Beauty which was an on-demand beauty marketplace with the same concept as MY REV, that myself and Jason Co-Founded in 2019 whilst travelling through Asia and Australia. AMB Beauty was launched on a beach and we soon grew this to the biggest marketplace for freelance beauty professionals in the UK. In late 2021, we were then acquired by global multi-brand beauty company Revolution Beauty.
Together, we are now changing the industry with MY REV and backing the beauty industry and its professionals which have taken a setback since the pandemic. We are allowing them to take control of their business and gain more clients than ever before.
What does the future hold of MY REV?
There has been a huge consumer shift in the last couple of years to on-demand platforms with the likes of Uber for taxis, Airbnb for travel and Deliveroo for food. MY REV aims to be the leader of on-demand services for the beauty industry not only in the UK but globally.
With the global brand of Revolution Beauty behind us we can use their global infrastructure and millions of consumers to take this into Europe and then worldwide. We are building a community of like-minded beauty professionals and giving them a platform which caters for their business needs and allowing them to easily scale their business. We plan to revolutionise the industry and become the number 1 household name for booking beauty appointments.
