How did you come up with the idea for the company?

I founded the business just six years ago. Having been in the fitout industry for over two decades, I had a huge amount of experience to draw on. I had worked on many projects, both in the UK and abroad, and I knew there were a lot of things that could be achieved.

From the beginning, Pure Fitout’s mission was to make clients the centre of the business. I noticed that there was a lack of transparency between contractor and client, a model which appeared quite prevalent in construction in general. For Pure Fitout, this model of transparency would be one of the central tenets of the business.

A key decision then was to bring as many of the operations under Pure Fitout’s control as possible and to build a one-stop shop model for clients. With so many delays caused by third-party suppliers, we decided to bring joinery and metal fabrication in-house, to make the business self-sufficient and take control of our own destiny. This continues to yield results as it helps us to ensure that we meet deadlines and produce a high quality of work for clients.

How has the company evolved during the pandemic?

There is no question that construction and hospitality all collectively suffered from the moment the pandemic hit. However, we have also seen clear indications of recovery, growth and future investment. For us, we had been in business a mere four and a half years when the world effectively shut down.

But even when many of us were still in lockdown (in late 2020 into 2021), our team was seeing significant investment being made by hospitality venues across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

What can we hope to see from Pure Fitout in the future?

You can expect to see even more high-quality project completions across the UK, Ireland and Europe. We will continue to develop our talented workforce and invest in the latest technology within our workshop and site operations. We have a drive and ambition to achieve the highest of standards and we will continue to work with like-minded clients and professional teams in completing some of the most talked about, world-class venues.
