Free Users Can Now Use Adobe Apps On ChatGPT

Adobe announced that Photoshop, Adobe Express and Adobe Acrobat are now available inside ChatGPT, so that the 800 million+ people who use the platform each week can access the Suite. The company said this gives anyone the chance to edit photos, make designs or organise documents without leaving the chat window. David Wadhwani, who leads digital media at Adobe, said the launch brings creative tools to people through a space they already use each day.

Adobe said the apps work through short written instructions. Someone can type Adobe Photoshop at the start of a message and ask for a brighter sky or a sharper portrait. ChatGPT then brings up the tool and guides the person through each change. Adobe said this means beginners can edit without trying to learn large menus or new layouts.

The company said the move builds on its earlier work in agentic AI. Adobe spoke about Acrobat Studio, which it introduced earlier in the year, and said it wanted to bring similar ideas into Photoshop and Adobe Express. It also said it plans an assistant for Adobe Firefly that will help people move ideas across several apps.

What Can People Do Inside Photoshop, Express And Acrobat?

Adobe said Photoshop inside ChatGPT lets a person adjust brightness, contrast or exposure and apply effects such as Glitch or Glow. It also said people can work on one part of an image at a time. The process works through short messages. A person uploads a photo, mentions Adobe Photoshop, asks for changes, and then fine tunes those changes using sliders.

Adobe Express inside ChatGPT lets people browse designs, fill their own text, swap images and add animation inside the chat window. Adobe said this helps someone make invitations or announcements quickly. The company gave the example of a New Year’s Eve invitation and said people can start with a simple message like Adobe Express, help me create an invitation for my dance party.

Adobe said Acrobat inside ChatGPT helps anyone turn several files into a single PDF. The person types Adobe Acrobat and asks to bring the documents together. It also helps with editing text, rearranging pages, taking out sensitive information and compressing files. Adobe said this can help during a job search because someone can gather a resume, cover letter and references in one place.

Adobe said all three apps are free for ChatGPT users on desktop, web and iOS. Adobe Express is already on Android, and the company said Photoshop and Acrobat will come to Android soon.

Why Does Adobe Think This’ll Reach New Audiences?

Adobe said the apps reach people who may feel unsure about where to start. The company said many people admire Photoshop but feel intimidated when they first see it. Wadhwani said Adobe wanted the experience to feel natural for anyone who talks to ChatGPT each day.

Adobe said that conversational prompts encourage people to describe an idea rather than try to figure out where tools sit on a screen. It shared examples such as asking Photoshop to make people stand out in a holiday photo or asking for a grainy finish for a vintage look. Adobe said this helps people enjoy the process because they can change one detail at a time.

Adobe also gave advice on how to get better outcomes. It encouraged people to be precise, to explain what they do not want, and to handle one detail per message. Adobe said this helps ChatGPT understand the task and return edits that match the person’s intention.

What Should People Expect From Here?

Adobe said people can connect the apps through Settings in ChatGPT and then use short commands such as Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Acrobat before describing their request. It said the connection lets someone move from the chat window into Adobe’s own apps at any time.

The company said it hopes these tools will help more people try creative tasks, finish documents and share designs through everyday conversations.
