Disabled-friendly Travel Specialist, Limitless Travel, Announces Fund Raise to Expand Product Range and Launch Into the US Market

Disabled-friendly specialist travel company, Limitless Travel, today announces £800,000 in seed funding to expand the product range to comprise more global destinations and cruises, launching into the US market and launching online booking. The win also caps off one of the company’s most successful years of trading as the travel industry emerges from operating under COVID-19 restrictions.

The investment comes as more and more customers are looking to access the world of accessible travel following the Pandemic. Limitless Travel’s mission since launch in 2015 has been to make the world of travel accessible to everyone and anyone, and it’s precisely this mission that has attracted this new investment. Backers include highly successful entrepreneur Nigel Wray, who has been a shareholder in Domino’s Pizza, Saracens Rugby, Carlton Communications and Singer & Friedlander amongst other companies.

With a strong commercial background across a range of business sectors, lead investor Nigel Wray comments: “I’m an avid traveller and have travelled to many different places around the world, but I began to wonder what it’s like for a disabled person? I’ve flown on countless airlines around the world for decades, yet I can’t ever remember seeing a disabled person on a flight. And it turns out that’s because most airlines just don’t bother because it’s one hell of an effort on their behalf. Limitless Travel, headed up by Angus Drummond, is going to change all that! With between 40% and 50% of disabled people in the UK never going on holiday because of all the associated stress of organising a trip, Limitless Travel’s team of expert carers who travel with every trip ensure that everything is taken care of and passengers can truly relax and enjoy their dream holiday. It’s a wonderful journey to be going on with them”.

Limitless Travel CEO, Angus Drummond, adds: “We are thrilled and delighted to welcome Nigel Wray onto the Limitless Travel team. His investment will be fundamental in Limitless Travel achieving its mission of revolutionising travel for disabled people. After the difficulties caused by the COVID Pandemic over the past two years, Limitless Travel is in a stronger position than ever, and we’re now able to provide a range of global destinations to our customers. We are due to launch an online booking service shortly and are beginning our expansion into the US. We are on the path of achieving our vision of creating the world’s most accessible travel company for disabled people.”

Already in 2022, Limitless Travel has unveiled three cruise trips for 2022 to the Norwegian Fjords, Portugal and Spain and Mediterranean and Iberia. In addition, a raft of new destinations has been added to Limitless Travel’s holiday offering including long haul trips such as a South African Safari, The Caribbean and Thailand.
