Republic London Joins Forces with Creative Studio, The Rig Out

Republic London –  a mixed-use, next-generation office campus based in The Isle of Dogs have joined forces with London based creative studio; The Rig Out.

The first piece commissioned by the East London regeneration company takes a look at the history and heritage of the area. The narrative centres around the multiple tales of how The Isle of Dogs came to get its name.

We caught up with one of the creatives behind the content, Matt Clerkin, to talk us through the project:
“This was a thoroughly interesting and fun piece to work on. Obviously with it being lock down, we had to look at alternative methods to tell the story – hence the combination of archive and animation. The key objective from the brief was to highlight how cool the area was / is & showcase the fact it has all the attributes to become the next big tech & creative hub. Our initial research showed that people were familiar with the name Isle of Dogs but had no real understanding of where it was. So through the light hearted humour, it actually acts as an informative video”.
